3 Food Categories That Help Burn Fat

July 14th, 2009 |
Yuki Shoji asked:

There’s some good news for people trying to lose fat and slim down to a healthier and more attractive lifestyle. There are actually foods you can eat with will burn fat for you with any effort on your part. Even better, they can easily be assimilated into any diet. In fact, you may already be eating them on a regular basis and not even know it.

These types of foods actually burn more calories than their own caloric content. They are natural plant food and certain dairy items, and they are as follows.

Foods That Help Burn Fat #1 Citrus

These foods include limes, lemons, grapefruit, tangerines, and oranges. To get the most benefit from them, you need to eat them in their freshest form. Eat them all by themselves. Don’t attempt to cut them up and use them for a marinade because you will lose the calorie burning benefits. In addition, don’t assume drinking them in juice form you purchased in stores will work. Most juices bought at the store are filled with preservatives that negate the calorie burning benefits.

Foods That Help Burn Fat #2 Fruits and Vegetables

Fruits and vegetables that are rich in Cellulose. These include watermelon, cabbage, asparagus, carrots, broccoli, apples, and blueberries. Again, remember that certain food preparation can negate the calorie burning benefits of these foods, especially when it comes to the vegetables. To fully achieve the best benefits from vegetables you should only steam them. In addition, you don’t want to slather them in butter for taste.

Foods That Help Burn Fat #3 Dairy

Unlike the other foods mentioned above, you have to ingest dairy in moderation. These products include non fat milk, low fat yogurt, and white cheese. Make sure and follow the recommended daily allowance on the package closely. Dairy products can be helpful in burning calories. But be aware that they also contain other nutrients that you don’t want to get too much of, such as carbohydrates.

While eating these foods alone will help you burn calories, if you really want to exacerbate their effects, then you should combine an exercise routine with the diet. This way, you get twice the calorie burning effects. In order to lose one pound per week it is a scientific fact that a person must cut their caloric intake by as much as 500 calories per day. This can be hard to do, but if you work out at least 30 minutes a day and eat these fat burning foods, the process becomes much easier. You’ll find that you’re less hungry and that you also feel much better about yourself.

Living healthy and looking attractive are goals that everybody can obtain. It is not food that is the enemy, but the food choices people make. By making the food choice above, people are making the right decision for reaching these goals.

July 9th, 2009 |
Joshua Mcdonald asked:

The simplest way to lose weight in a healthy way is to maintain a low caloric intake combined with a bit of proper exercise in your daily life. Your approach can make a lot of difference to losing weight in a sustainable manner. What you have to do is to create negative calorie deficiency for the day or week or month and lose weight as fast as you have desired. Your extra fat gets dropped off very quickly consuming a low calorie diet, particularly with a regular exercising habit.

There is an innovative diet schedule which basically includes negative calories and fat burning compatible foods. The following are the lists of diet which can effectively help you to burn fat quickly:

1. Fat Burning Compatible Foods and Its Function: Fat burning compatible foods enhance the metabolism speed which is effective to burn fat from your body. These include food high in water and fiber content and also low in fats. One can lose maximum calorie by consuming such food types and can create a calorie deficit which resulted in speedy fat loss in your body. Your food that is consumed cannot supply as much calorie as the fat burning foods provide and this can help your body to burn the extra fat.

2. Tailor-Made Fat Burning Foods: Fat losing foods are found abundantly in nature which is very helpful in losing fat. These foods are available in wide range. Fruits, vegetables, fish, meats, and spices which include pepper, lean beef, turkey, tuna, salmon, green tea, pineapples, oranges, green beans, onions, broccoli, cabbage, oatmeal and whole grain cereals are some of the list of fat burning foods.

3. The Bounty of Calorie Shifting: Calorie Shifting is one of the quickest ways to burn fat. It is the way of eating which decide a schedule of eating radically different types of calories in your food at every meal in four specific times every day. Want To Burn Fat Quickly. Need To Burn Belly Fat? You MUST Read This

July 7th, 2009 |
Greg Woodburn asked:

Every day there are tons of people desperate to lose weight - a fact that many companies are exploiting for the sake of profit. Everyday we see the next sensational weight loss program that practically promise instant results. The problem is that most of them are making losing weight fast harder than it actually is.

If you want to lose weight fast here is the first simple key - burn more calories than you consume on a daily basis! Sounds simple enough doesn’t it? Let’s dig a little deeper into this:

When looking for the best information available on any given subject it makes sense to turn to those who have accomplished what you want to do. The national weight loss registry does exactly that. They are receiving information constantly from their members about what they have done to lose weight and keep it off. To become a member you have to have lost a minimum of 30 pounds and have kept it off for a whole year.

Weight loss for most of the members of the national registry actually far exceeds the minimum requirements. The majority have shed around 70 pounds and kept it off for five years or more. They have done this in varied ways and with the aid of differing products and programs.

One thing you will see from the very beginning is that all these members used some form of exercise to achieve their goals. The method and amount of exercise may change from person to person but the fact remains you must move your body to lose weight. A good rule of thumb is vigorous exercise for a minimum of three days out of every week.

The forms of exercise varied among members but the most used was walking. This was not the only way of course; others used fun sports, weight lifting and cardiovascular machines. It’s interesting to see something as simple as walking be so effective.

Exercise is all about the burn! It doesn’t matter what exercise you do, you just need to get going! Referring back to the above statement more calories burnt than consumed will equal weight loss. Choose a fun activity then get your body moving!

Exercise routines will vary to personal taste, however they should all contain strength, cardio and stretching. The cardio will burn the calories, strength training will increase lean muscle mass and stretching will keep connective tissues soft and pliable.

No one should be the least bit shocked to find that members also reported changes to their diets. You will not sustain any type of weight loss with poor eating habits.

Women on average consumed around 1300 calories per day and men consumed around 1700.

You may be surprised to learn that about 80% of people reported eating breakfast; I guess all the information out there about this being the most important meal is not a fluke!

Eating several small meals everyday is the best advice you can get. It provides a balanced supply of nutrients flowing while stimulating your metabolism. Start with a balanced breakfast every morning.

In addition to these tips, people also reported shrinking their portion sizes, leaving junk food alone and counting their calories everyday.

Not only was sticking to diet and exercise important but members also report that watching their weight carefully influenced their results. The ones who monitored it closely achieved the most success.

This is not to say that they lived on the scale, but most would weigh themselves weekly and kept a record of what they ate and when.

Whether or not to use supplements appears to be a personal choice and not indicative of results. The number who used these to those who did not was somewhat even. Many used diet pills to lose weight faster while many stuck to their diet and exercise regimen alone.

There were also members who tried some of the popular weight loss aids only to put them aside when they did not see much in the way of results. A fact that is not astonishing when you consider all the worthless products available. Others said that some of the proven weight loss supplements they used were quite helpful.

To lose weight you do not have to follow another persons footsteps precisely. Nevertheless, many people want the option of speeding up their weight loss results with diet products.

Weight loss is not rocket science - in fact most of the information you already know! Eat less, burn more calories and stay on target. The problems come when we try to pull this all together.

Seems like the people who dive in head first come out closer to their goals in the end. A strong effort to lose weight fast in the beginning can keep you focused on your goals. You can have the body you always dreamed of! Just set your goals, develop a plan and go after it. You can do it!

Summer is Here and I Need to Burn Fat Belly

July 4th, 2009 |
Magrietha Du Plessis asked:

Is this you? Are you the one that is desperately shouting “summer is here and I need to burn fat belly?” Relax, there is still hope and you can do it. Keep a few basics in mind and you will get there! Read on and get all the tips.

If you need to burn fat belly, you have to realize that you will have to lose weight all over. A big midline is normally part of a body that has quite a few extra pounds to get rid off. So, sorry, you will have to diet and do exercise. Those six pack abs will only come with a little work.

So if you need to burn fat belly, you will have to follow the following plan:

* A good healthy diet

* Cardio exercises

* Strength exercise

* Stretching

1. A good healthy diet:

Any weight loss plan or slimming plan needs to start with a healthy balanced diet. You really must not give in to the temptation to go onto one of the many fad diets doing the rounds. With a fad diet you lose mostly water and some muscle, but very little fat and as soon as you eat normally again, you will put all the weight back on.

You notice that I say you will also lose some muscle with a fad diet. This is really bad news if you want to get rid of a big tummy. You need those muscles to keep everything in place. If the muscles in your tummy area are not toned, you can even be skinny and you will still have a fat belly!

OK, so we know you have to go onto a good diet. There really are many available, and I think it is a good idea if I give you some pointers on what to look for:

First of all, you must not eat too little. If you are going to train those abs, you will need the energy to do it with. This energy has to come from the food you eat. So your diet needs to include a little carbs for energy.

Next you have to take your own preferences into account. If you have to eat a lot of food on a diet that you hate, there is no way that you will be able to stick to the diet. Starting with such a diet will only be a waste of time!

It is also necessary to take your lifestyle into consideration. Take into account the time you have available to prepare your meals and if you frequently eat out. Your eating plan must be able to fit into your lifestyle if you are going to be able to keep it up.

2. Cardio exercises:

First of all, it is important to warm up before you do any exercise. So start your cardio slow until your heartbeat has increased a little and then push more. Any exercise will do here, as your main objective is to increase your heartbeat and to start using some calories. You can go for a brisk walk, or jogging, swimming, the min-trampoline and even dancing will do!

3. Strength exercises:

Here is where you will do the specific exercises to target your abs. Always make sure you do the exercises controlled so that you do not use momentum to help you. Control is what will help you burn fat belly.

Keep in mind that to keep your skeleton correct and safe, you will have to strengthen all your muscles and not only your abs.

4. Stretches:

Stretching is usually the most neglected part of people’s routines. What you have to realize is that stretching does not only prevent damage to your muscles, but it actually helps with the slimming process. Stretching makes your muscles supple and give you that sculpted look. So, do not skimp on your stretches if you want to burn fat belly.

Burn Fat Fast - Your Ultimate Guide

July 2nd, 2009 |
C. Oon asked:

It is indeed difficult to take off excess body fats and keep them off permanently. You may have come across and meet different people, successful in every field, thriving and blooming in whatever they do, except for one thing - dieting. These people, and that includes you may have tried different diets from Atkins to South Beach and everything in between, but to no avail. This means to say, in spite of the knowledge and determination to lose weight and burn fat fast, it appear as if nothing seems to work.

And so, let’s try to go over some essential tips to burn fat fast and make this piece your ultimate guide. Let’s start.

1.Get fit. If you’re not very fit, chances are, your muscles won’t get accustomed to working extra hard and it will ta ke time for you to tune in to exercise mode. If you’re very overweight, you need to ease into exercise progressively. Make certain that you do not pressure and force yourself too much as this would lead to straining and stressing your muscles. Instead, sustain a gentle pace for the first few days of your exercise, and then slowly increase the length and intensity of your workout as your routine progresses. For fat burning, your pace and your exercise in general should leave you winded for best results. But, one rule of thumb, wheezing should still allow you to carry on a conversation - that’s the healthy way to do it.

2. Detox you system. This is another way to burn fat fast. Detoxifying your system doesn’t only allow your body to get rid of toxic substances from the foods you eat and even from the air you breathe; it also aids all the systems in your body to function properly. Detox is also a means of cleansing the body. When the body is cleansed, burning of fats is definitely much easier to carry out.

3. Watch your fats. In other words, familiarize yourself with Nutrition Facts Labels on different packaged foods. There are some foods that claim reduced-fat, low calorie, zero sugar and light (lite) content, but in reality, their claims can be confusing. Take for example an olive oil. Most olive oils claim low or light fat content, well in actual fact, what these manufacturers are talking about is the light color of the oil. Keep in mind, all oil is 100-percent fat, so you better be aware of what these Nutrition Facts Labels are claiming as they can be really misleading at times. To help you burn fat the fast way, you should avoid man-made fats that prolong the life of packaged goods, and other trans-fats and saturated fats.

4. Consider your calories. You should develop a meal plan if you’re serious about losing weight and burning fats fast especially in your mid section. You can do this by figuring out the amount of fat calories you must have each meal. For optimum results and to make way for an effective fat burning meal, it is important not to exceed 30 percent of calories from fat and one should stay within the required daily caloric intake.

How To Burn Fat And Lose Weight Healthily

June 25th, 2009 |
Cliff Baker2 asked:

Many people find that keeping their weight down to a healthy level is very difficult for them and it is often beyond a lot of people. There are many methods out there that are supposed to help you cut down on your weight. These range from crash diets involving quirky food, which is not a good idea, to medications designed to burn off fat, to radical new age psychic methods of self hypnosis for fat burning.

Okay, fine. Let’s get back to reality… you can’t wish and vibrate fat away, and miracle pills might work, but they generally have unhealthy side effects, so these are not a healthy option. If you really want to reduce your weight and keep it down then it is better to do it in a healthy way, the simple rule is you have to work for it as there is no quick fix. This involves the one weight loss method that is actually the most effective but the one that a vast majority of people dread: Exercise! But exercise alone will not work. You must also get rid of any poor eating habits and introduce new healthy ones. Good nutrition is equally as important as exercise.

Before rushing out and buying yourself a pair of running shoes though, consult with your doctor and get a health check to make sure that you’re in fit enough shape to exercise strenuously. Ask your doctor’s advice and find out what levels of strain, wear and tear you can put yourself through without risking your health.

If you prefer to make it easy on yourself, start slow. Brisk walks and jogging are nice easy cardiovascular (CV) exercises that help get rid of excess fat slowly. You can take this at your own pace; remember, how fast you lose weight is directly proportional to the amount of effort involved. Even something as simple as walking up flights of stairs at the office instead of taking an elevator can be incorporated into part of your daily weight loss routine. Remember that CV exercise will also burn muscle, which you don’t want to lose.

While CV exercise is great for the hart and lungs, a more effective form of exercise for fat burning is resistance exercise…or exercising with weights. Joining a gym or health club is a good way to do this because you have access to a wide range of equipment and they have instructors to set you up with a workout plan. They will also show you the proper techniques for using free weights etc. Resistance exercise is great because it helps to increase muscle and therefore, burn more fat. Fat loss is far more important than weight loss, although for a lot of people who have a lot of excess weight, the fat loss will also include weight loss.

Don’t get too fixated on the scales, as ‘weight’ includes healthy weight like muscle and water, which you don’t want too lose. A much better measure is to get your body fat measured before you start any exercise program and then periodically after. That way you can measure your fat loss. Replacing fat with muscle is the way to go…And, no ladies, most of you will not get big and muscley working out with weights, simply because you don’t have enough testosterone, which is the muscle building hormone in your bodies. Female bodybuilders that get big and muscley take steroids which mimic testosterone.

Next on the exercise agenda after you’ve got your walking, jogging and weights habits down is callisthenics.

Crunches are one of the best, as opposed to sit-ups; crunches are medically proven to be healthier and easier on the body, even as they burn up more fat. To do crunches, lie on the floor, lock your legs straight, and raise your feet and upper body simultaneously, bending at the waist. Sit-ups are not as good as they primarily work the hip flexor muscles rather than the abdominals.

Essentially, you form a shallow letter V. Start with small repetitions, pace yourself, and don’t raise your feet or head more than a foot above the ground. Crunches are a great way to target the stomach or abdominals, which is a problem area for most of us. Variations on crunches include raising only your legs, to target your lower abdomen, or raising only your head and upper body to target higher abdominal muscle groups. Twisting crunches involve turning your upper body alternately with each crunch and target love handles. Crunches are just one example of callisthenics. There are other exercises that are meant to target other body parts. Find a gym with a good callisthenics instructor and visit it regularly.

Another approach to weight loss and getting in shape is to engage in classic sports. Any good sport will eventually help you lose weight; if there is one that you actually like engaging in, go for it. Assuming you don’t have a preference, however, try biking and rowing. These two activities burn off fat and replace it with lean muscle, and are quite exhilarating.

Other great physical activities for weight reduction involve ones that require great amounts of neuromuscular activity. These sharpen reflexes as well as burning off fat. Some of the best examples of these activities are dancing, martial arts, fencing, and gymnastics. Because of the greater need for dexterity and agility in these sports, a person who trains in them naturally develops a much higher metabolic rate.

Also, since the emphasis in these arts is in rapid, efficient movement, the burn rate of calories is a lot higher than regular sports. However, these arts are also the most demanding, not only physically, but also in terms of mental alertness and coordination. They are not for everyone, but if you want an exercise that will help you lose weight fast and keep it off, you can’t go wrong with them.

That’s pretty much it in a nutshell. Don’t come up with excuses. Most people claim that they either don’t have the time, the equipment, or the opportunity to exercise and lose weight.

In truth, opportunities are always available. Even taking just the first option, and spending 30 minutes a day walking, will eventually make you lose weight.

The important thing is to stop telling yourself that it’s something you can’t do. You can burn the fat off; it just takes a bit of persistence. Get your priorities sorted out, if you don’t make exercise and a healthy diet a priority you may get a wake up call to prompt you too. Or worse…your children could lose a parent early.

If you put the wrong fuel in your car, you won’t get very far. Putting the wrong fuel (poor nutrition) in your body, it may take a few decades to let you down.

Remember, a healthy lifestyle will not only add years to your life, it will add life to your years.

Do Certain Foods Burn Fat?

May 30th, 2009 |
Burn Fat
Rob - The Fired Up Nutritionist - Corbett asked:

Hey Gang Rob The Fired Up Nutritionist Here Again!!

Ok do certain foods burn fat…….. This is always a fun question to ask and even more so to hear the responses from people!!

The question of do certain foods burn fat, is responsible for all those ridiculous diets on the market such as the cabbage soup diet and the grapefruit diet!

I have even heard the silly saying “A Grapefruit a day keeps the fat a way”!!

So seriously… when people ask do certain foods burn fat……. What does that mean, do they think the foods themselves FIRE UP the fat and burn it down?? If so no no!! They do not!

So if you were thinking…. “Ok I have heard that certain foods burn fat, so all I have to do is make sure to eat that food a few times a day and poof there goes the fat”…. Then I **** to be the one to burst your bubble but it will not happen….

However what does happen is that in a way certain foods burn fat by giving you more energy and speeding up your metabolism….. What happens when you have more energy?? You what? Move More!

Now what happens when you move more?? You Burn Fat Quicker! So yes I guess in a way certain foods do burn fat!

The certain foods that burn fat that most people talk about are the citrus fruits, such as grape fruit, oranges and even lemons and limes!

Now would I depend on just eating an orange or two a day to burn my fat! That’s a big negative!!

But what the heck it can not hurt, so throw some citrus fruit into your daily diet and get moving more!

Another way to look at the question do certain foods burn fat is to understand that food combinations and when you eat your meals can also speed up your metabolism and burn more fat.

On this note what you should focus on doing is eating 5-6 smaller balanced meals through out the day. So instead of chomping down on 3 big meals and then snacking away all night……

Have a breakfast, then a mid morning snack, then lunch, a mid afternoon snack, dinner, then an evening snack….

And the best case scenario would be to have a protein source and a carbohydrate source in each of those meals and during your main meals added a healthy fat source such as almonds to it.

And example of a balanced breakfast could be two boiled eggs and your grapefruit or a side of all grain toast for example.

A great snack that I enjoy is cottage cheese mixed with your favorite flavored yogurt.

Even the odd protein bar a few times a week makes for a great snack.

So do certain foods burn fat? I guess the answer is yes and no. When studying this question I would focus more on when to eat my meals and my portion sizes verses the question do foods burn fat. You will see better results!

6 Burn Fat Fast Secrets For A Firm, Well-Toned, Celebrity-Style Beach Body

May 23rd, 2009 |
Burn Fat
Rika Susan asked:

How to burn fat fast seems to be one of the most frequently asked questions these days. Do you struggle with food and weight loss from the moment you open your eyes in the morning? Do you constantly scan advertisements for new diet books, weight loss pills and potions? From celebrities to ordinary Joe’s are jostling to get their hands on the latest fad. Somehow, each new product sounds just a tad more enticing and promising than the previous one, leading to a new stampede by a crowd of hopefuls. Do any of these burn fat fast fads work in the long run, or are they just lining the pockets of creative and innovative marketers? What are the six secrets that are really effective in the fat loss and muscle building race?

Secret 1: There Is No Quick Fat Fix

Sorry, folks. There really is no magical pound-melting potion on this earth. Not if you want a health body anyway, and most definitely not if you want a long-term solution. If you desire lasting good looks, or want to look after your man’s health, it will take some work and planning. There simply is no quick fix. Burn fat fast solutions don’t come in pill form.

Secret 2: Learning To Change Your Mind

The mistake many people make is to take on the weight loss challenge only on a physical level. Burning fat fast has as much to do with your psychological make-up as your physical weight. If you can harness the astounding powers of your mind, you will experience the fat loss success you crave. Step number one may be to find out if there is a behind-the-scenes reason why you hang onto your overweight image. There may be some kind of psychological pay-off. The extra weight may be a sort of safety buffer between you and the world out there.

Alternatively you may simply have conditioned yourself into believing that this is who you are. You may have been conditioned into making unhealthy food choices. Why not see the change as a new adventure? Why not make it fun to discover for yourself why one option is better than another? In the process you will also be teaching your kids not to stuff their faces mindlessly. Change your thinking and you will change your body.

Secret 3: Exercise Your Emotions

If your aim is to burn fat fast, it is vital to identify the times when you usually hit the fridge for emotional reasons. This can happen when you are bored, lonely, sad, happy, or excited. Don’t try to white-knuckle it. If you can manage to get an alternative plan of action into place ahead of time, you will be more likely to succeed. It is much better to replace an established habit with a new action when that craving hits, such as brushing your teeth, going for a walk, dancing to upbeat music, perhaps drinking a glass of water or vegetable juice, or calling a friend. If you can just get through those few minutes, the feeling is very likely to pass. Once you have done this a few times, it will become easier and you will begin to feel more in control and that much better about yourself. This in itself will help to lessen the cravings.

Secret 4: Motivation To Move Muscles

No one is talking about becoming a female body builder here. You probably don’t crave bulging muscles. The whole idea is to aim for extra weight you can put down when you’re done! Of course, a lean and toned look is always attractive and will probably help to improve your self-image. The main thing is to get your metabolism revved up in the right way. Working with weights is one part of it, but you also need a cardio component to get the burn-fat-fast effect.

One possibility is to use a treadmill or elliptical trainer to move into your target training zone in as short a period as possible. Then downgrade to a lower intensity and try to keep this up for around 20 minutes or so. Before you know it, this form of fat burning exercise will have your body showing amazing changes. Not only will you be developing a lean look while dropping pounds, but you will be less likely to pick up weight so easily.

Secret 5: Get A Lifestyle-Lift

Burn fat fast solutions have much more to do with the choices you make, than with a particular diet. You need to adopt a healthy lifestyle that is sustainable. What good is it to go on this or that diet for a month, or to drink a weight loss pill for a few weeks? What happens on the first day of the next month? You probably head straight back to all your old habits. Before you know it, the weight you have lost, plus a few extra pounds reappear like old friends.

Why not learn to make smarter food choices instead? Doing just a few things differently may give you the boost you need. If you do the math, small changes such as switching to low fat cooking and eating, or decreasing your sugar intake slightly all add up. With a bit of planning, you can be right on schedule to drop a 100 pounds in a year, without a strict diet. Why not do some internet research to find out where you can make changes that will not leave you feeling deprived?

Secret 6: Clean Your Cupboards

Yes, Dr. Phil has been saying it all along. If it ain’t there, it can’t attach itself to your hips. Burning fat fast requires cleaning up your environment. How about initiating a kitchen spring clean? It will probably break your heart to throw out all the ‘good’ stuff you have in the house, but just imagine it all packing onto your thighs in the form of ugly lumps of fat… Better chuck it out, than chugging it around on you.

The thing is, there are going to come times when you will be vulnerable to eating just for the sake of eating. It takes a while to replace old habits with new tactics. Doesn’t it make sense to make sure that the stuff that usually trips you up simply isn’t in the house in the first place? At the same time you will be teaching your kids to make healthier food choices.

To burn fat fast is often more of a challenge for women. Remember that every woman’s body composition is unique. If you can manage to love yourself and love your body, and stop being so fixated on diets, your life will take on a completely different color. Isn’t developing a healthy body image a great gift you can give your kids? You probably don’t even need scales and a body fat calculator to know if you need to firm up and drop some pounds. The way your clothes fit will tell you this quite clearly.

With a bit of homework and a handful of common sense you will find it easy to burn fat fast permanently and safely.

Finally! Some REAL Advice On How To Burn Fat Quickly!

May 21st, 2009 |
Burn Fat
Cam Preston asked:

Millions of people all around the world are trying to lose weight, so it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that there are lots of miracle diets, exercise programs and weight loss pills out there. They all claim they’ll lead to quick weight loss, but most of them make the process of losing weight far more complicated than it needs to be.

Losing weight seems like a relatively simple process. Just burn more calories and eat less, and you’ll lose weight. That’s what it takes to get rid of the fat in reality. However, it takes a lot more than that to effectively put it into action.

If you want to find out what really works when it comes to weight loss, there’s no better place to find out than by checking the national weight control registry. This group regularly gathers information from its members about the different ways they lost weight and what methods worked best for them. If you want to be a member, you must lose at least thirty pounds and keep them off for a year or more.

However, most members have actually lost a lot more than that, with the average being about seventy pounds. They’ve also kept that weight off using many different programs and products, averaging about five years without the weight. Checking out this registry is a great way to find out what works when you want to lose weight.

The first thing you’ll see is that all these people used exercise programs of one sort or another to help them in losing weight. While the amount you exercise will vary from one person to another, it’s important for everyone to be sure they exercise at least three times each week.

Members used a number of different forms of exercise, with the most common being walking. Others played sports, lifted weights, and used cardiovascular exercise equipment, as well as other methods.

Remember - it doesn’t matter what exercises you pick as long as they burn calories. You want to burn more than you eat - make sure your body stays active. Find something you like and make sure you mix things up to keep it interesting.

Healthy exercise routines include strength training, flexibility exercises and cardiovascular exercise. That’ll help your burn fat and calories, keep your connective tissues flexible, and build lean muscle tissue.

If you’re hoping to reduce your weight in the future, one of the keys to weight loss is keeping yourself motivated. It’s important for you to look for ways to lose weight quickly right away, because seeing quick results is one good way to keep your spirits up.

Fast weight loss might mean you need to take significant changes to your lifestyle. However it’s not really that difficult once you have a plan.

First, we’ll take a look at the super secret to weight loss - burn more calories than you take in. It might not seem like much of a secret, but it’s what it boils down to. If you’re burning more calories than you’re consuming, you’ll lose weight. It really is that simple. How do you do it quickly? Lets go over a few tips.

The first thing to remember is that you’re doing this to improve yourself. You’ll feel better, look better, and improve your life outlook by losing those extra pounds. It’s amazing to see how much happier and satisfied many people are after meeting their goals.

Get started on weight loss quickly, and you’ll be on the road to looking your best, plus you’ll stay motivated.

First, you’ll need to change your diet. To lower the number of calories that you’re taking in, you’ll need to avoid junk food and fats. For the next few weeks, your goal is to offer your body the kind of nutrients it needs while minimizing how much you eat.

Avoid overly processed foods and try to stick to fresh veggies and foods full of protein. Drink milk, in the form of two or three glasses of skim every day - it can help people lose weight in many cases.

The next step is getting into a good exercise routine. That doesn’t mean just a few jumping jacks or pushups, either. You’ll need to exercise at least four times each week to begin with. This not only burns calories quickly, but also helps you get into the routine of training your body to burn more calories in the future.

When you do exercise, start with something you enjoy doing. There’s no reason to start jogging if you **** running - you won’t look forward to the activity. Some people prefer a high paced sport like squash. Others choose a cardio machine, and still others choose weight lifting. Mix things up every few sessions, but stick with something you enjoy.

The last step to quick weight loss plans is using a weight loss supplement. There are a number of products that have the ability to give you a natural boost. You can check out the ones with the best ranking for 2008 at http://www.myweightlossreviews, which has just posted its new reviews for the year.

Everyone can have their dream body, even though it might look hard to start with. However, as you get into a good routine, you’ll start seeing the pounds melt away. You’ll never look back again!

Raise Metabolism To Burn Fat

May 21st, 2009 |
Burn Fat
Chris Chew asked:

Do you know that you are actually fighting against nature when you are attempting to lose weight? You see, way back long ago, when a caveman’s next meal was uncertain and he was hungry, the body will store and conserve as much fat as possible to ensure its survival.

Furthermore, it will lower the metabolism rate so that less fat is being burnt for energy. Therefore we all have this built-in survival mechanism and this is the reason why skipping meals when trying to lose weight is not such a good idea. Now, you can see why it is so easy to gain weight and so difficult to lose them?

Although we now have certainty when our next meal is coming, our body will still instinctively store fat for it is a natural survival mechanism since the body can’t think. Fortunately, there are a number of ways we can raise our metabolism and keep fat at bay.

If you want to burn fat by raising your metabolism, try lifting weights. Lift weights using compound exercises with high repetitions. The idea is not to build muscles but to raise your metabolism in order to burn fat. Since compound exercises such as dead lifts, squats and bench presses work on many muscle parts, you will be puffing and panting. In other words, you are having a good fat burning cardio work out.

Because the exercises work on many muscle parts, more calories are expanded and that meant more fat is burnt. Don’t waste your time doing puny exercises like bicep curls or tricep extensions. Yes, these exercises have their places, but they are not efficient for fat burning.

You should also limit the number of sets of each exercise to 3 or 4 sets since there are some studies showing that there is no difference in doing four or six sets for fat burning purpose.

Next, do pay close attention to how long you rest in between sets. Resting for too long, say for 2 minutes will clear a fat burning hormone releasing chemical called lactate from your bloodstream. Therefore if you want to burn fat, you need to keep lactate in your blood stream for as long as possible. Therefore do not rest more than a minute in between sets.

Yes, you say that there is not sufficient recovery time after the last set and performing the next set before recovery will not be efficient. Well, you can get around this easily by alternating the exercises such as doing a lower body exercise, and then do an upper body exercise next.

Tempo when lifting weight is vitally important. By swinging your weights up and down will get you nowhere, perhaps even getting an injury. This is because when you swing the weight up, you are using momentum and when you lower them quickly, you are using gravity to assist you.

Therefore, slow things down to a consistent rhythm but fairly quickly enough to get a cardio workout.

Although the above exercise techniques are not meant for building muscles but for raising metabolism to burn fat, if you have never lifted weights before, you will also gain some muscles. Do know that muscles are natural fat burner and the more muscle mass you have, the higher your metabolism. When you have gained enough muscles, you will become a natural fat burner.
